Artist's Comments

Every year when summer comes I go out in the German tidelands and enjoy these extraordinary landscape. It's big fun to swim in a tide way or to bath in mud.
The tidelands are huge and three kilometres outside there is nobody.
The tide changes the landscape very quick. The descent water is warm and the increase water cold. There's always a strong wind. It is so beautiful and very silent. Wellness for my soul.

These photographs are self-exposures and that's the problem, because in harsh sunlight there is no control about the camera display. The strong current in a tide way or the wind shakes the tripod. The mussles cut into foot soles and you've 10 seconds to find a position. Everywhere is mud and it's difficult to hold the camera clean. My camera is a small Panasonic LC50 a bargain from the supermarket. A better camera equipment is to expensiv for such work. I want to take better pictures, better in quality and more artful.

Male nudes in beautiful landscapes are seldom and I hope to entertain you with these snapshots.
Hope you'll enjoy it.

I am another one of your stalkers, kept in a glass jar, inaudible, but still powerful.

With a cheap camera you are working miracles! Every shot I've seen from the tideland series has been gorgeous and moody, emotional, graceful, peaceful...I could go on and on.

I have loved every single one but this one is...stunning, simply stunning.

I love it! Great idea, the reflection and your silhouette… flipping it was a brilliant idea as well.

Beautiful image.... and proof of the saying that it's not the camera it's who is behind it....
